The Ride for Rainbow, now in its sixth season, is a 70km cycle from the historic Wat Chai Wattanaram in Ayutthaya, to Rainbow House Orphanage (www.ccdthailand.org) in Pakkred, Bangkok. Participants cycle along back roads through the rice paddies, stopping at the famous Bat Temple where refreshing ice cold water is served by our supporting parents. It is then only 10km to lunch, where participants get a chance to refuel and get cool. Post lunch, and only 30km to go, the participants set off at a brisker pace, going under some low bridges which require cyclists to duck and cars to find alternative routes! After one more refreshing water point, we stop at the Chao Phraya river for a quick ferry trip across the water, and then tackle the busy last 4km to Rainbow House, where the Rainbow House children greet us enthusiastically with a food gift pack and drinks. A magic show by the children of Rainbow House has become a tradition.

The Ride for Rainbow usually takes place in January. Participants from other schools are welcome to join us for this traditional event. Please contact john_n@harrowschool.ac.th for more information. We look forward to you joining us next year.
