Carnegie medal winning author Tanya Landman spent three days at Harrow Bangkok during our recent Book Week.
For the first time during a Harrow Bangkok author’s visit, Tanya met with students in every year group from Nursery to Year 13. Whether it was recounting anecdotes about her days as a PR manager at a well-known UK Zoo to Prep Phase or discussing revisionist literature with our A-Level students, Tanya enthralled every audience with her energy, humour and intellect.

Year 8 students, who have studied her novel ‘Buffalo Soldier’ over the past term were delighted to have the opportunity to ask Tanya detailed and probing questions. Students from both the Prep Phase and the Pre Prep were able to purchase copies of Tanya’s books, signed for them by the author in a special meet-and-greet session which gave them the opportunity to ask yet more questions.

Tanya’s visit was a phenomenal success and she was as sad to leave us as we were to see her continue her tour of SE Asia.
We hope that she will visit Harrow Bangkok again one day.
