Now firmly established on the chess calendar as Bangkok’s premier student event, Harrow Bangkok hosted its fifth all-day inter-school chess tournament on Saturday 21st January. Attracting over 260 entrants aged between four and eighteen from schools as far afield as Koh Samui, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Malaysia, and with 62 trophies to be won, the competition was, as has been the case previously, extremely fierce. According to students, parents and accompanying teachers, the extremely well-run event was, yet again, a resounding success, thanks to the efforts and commitment of Jirapak Chess Academy and its staff, the teachers and staff of Harrow Bangkok, and also Epicure Catering and its staff.
